All competitors must play in the flight indicated by an official handicap rating (Innerkip League, USGA or Golf Canada). Flight cut-offs will be based on the number of players signed up in order to create suitable fields for each flight. All competitors will keep score for another competitor in their group before starting and attest to their opponent's score at the end of the round. All competitors must hole out on every hole. Each competitor will be responsible for keeping track of their own score for verification.

Scoring and Flight Formats

First-place tiebreakers in each flight will play the 1st and 18th holes until a winner is decided in a sudden-death competition. All other ties will split the prize accordingly.

If a ruling is required, the player should play a provisional ball from the area in question. Play both golf balls and record the score for each. A ruling will be given at the earliest possible time by the Director of Golf.

2-Man Scramble - August 9th - Register Open

Innerkip Highlands Golf Club is hosting a one-day, 18-hole 2-Man Scramble event. Registration is $150 (including HST) per person. This includes entry to the event, 18 holes of golf with power carts, a delicious meal afterward, and the chance to win prizes.

Participants must be an Innerkip Highlands Club Card holder or member to take part in this event.

Tee times range from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, and specific tee times will be emailed to participants before the event. Tee time preferences will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis upon registration.

Registration for the tournament closes at the end of business on August 1st, 2024, or when the event is fully booked.

Format:

In the 2-Man Scramble format, teams consist of two players who both hit a tee shot. The team then selects the preferred shot and plays from that spot. The player whose shot wasn't chosen picks up their ball and places it within one club length of the chosen shot. Both players take a shot from that spot, and the process continues until the hole is completed.

Key rules to remember:
  • Players can place their ball within one club length of the selected spot, as long as it's not closer to the hole.
  • The ball must remain in the same type of grass as the marker; for instance, you cannot move the ball from the rough to the fairway.
  • Groups are required to use the orange tee decks, but individuals over the age of 65 have the option to use the white tee decks,  individuals over the age of 80 have the option to use the yellow tee decks, and Women are to use the red tee decks
  • You must use at least 3 tee shots from each player
